Our ebay shipping FAQ center
provides the most Frequently Asked Questions we get about shipping package from ebay buyers & sellers; antique ebay shipping; furniture shipping; an introduction shipping world wide; how to ship a large package; and ebay delivery options.
Can you help me with heavy or large sized ebay shipping?
If your item weighs more than 150 lbs., truck transportation is the most economical way to ship rather than using a parcel service. We are a logistics company and can help you find the best way to transport your items.
Standard procedure for common carriers involves a truck driver backing up to a dock to be loaded by the consignor (shipper), and driving the cargo to the receiving destination to be unloaded by the consignee (buyer).
Are my ebay shipping times guaranteed?
We are a time-definite carrier and take proactive action to provide the most efficient method of transportation and to work to complete all shipments within quoted shipping times. However, due to the number of factors beyond our control, including weather, road conditions and traffic, transit times are reliable, but not guaranteed. Transit times do not include the day of pickup.

What happens if my ebay shipment isn't ready when the driver comes?
Normally the driver will not wait. The driver will be dispatched for the following day, which delays your service. You will be assessed a fee for the duplicated pickup.
Can I estimate the weight of my ebay shipment?
If the weight or class is not accurate and an ebay shipment
must be re-weighed or re-classed by the carrier, those costs
will be passed on to you. This is why you need to call Freight
and Package for your ebay furniture shipping options.
What is the claims process?
Claims are handled directly between the ebay shipper, consignee and the carrier. Freight and Package will help to facilitate any claims process but we may not be able to influence the carrier's claim decision. Claims with the carrier must be filed within 10 days of delivery. We will assist you in filing for loss or damage on the product which was shipped. Our representatives will coach you on filing a claim and provide the proper forms.
Who calls and schedules the carrier?
When you schedule with Freight and Package, we contact the carrier and handle all the logistics for you.

How should I package my shipments?
We will coach you as to how you should handle your package securely to prevent damage. Improper packaging may void the carrier's liability for damage. See below for our Packaging Tips.
Can I schedule a shipment and have it picked up on the
same day?
Yes, but this service cannot be guaranteed due the time of day you contacted us. Please allow a 4-hour window before your docks close so we can get a driver dispatched to your location within that same day. Please note that our carriers normally make pickups in the afternoon and deliver in the morning.
How do I handle my fragile items?
When shipping fragile items, we will consult with you to determine the very best way to pack the items. We offer additional insurance to cover your item's value. How your item is packaged will determine the type of equipment required. Our drivers may refuse to pick up improperly packaged freight or furniture if it is uncrated. In some instances we may be able to arrange for special pickups and packaging for your freight at an additional cost.
Fragile items should be wrapped individually in tissue or newspaper before being placed in the carton. Be sure to use plenty of crumpled newspaper or other cushioning between these articles and the inner wall of the carton to provide ample protection against shock.
Do you handle parcel residential services?
We handle all business and residences even if you are located in a residential zone. Schools, colleges, and churches located in residential zones also fall into this category.
We will ask you if the shipping or receiving address has a loading dock, or if manual loading or unloading is necessary.

Are your rates guaranteed?
When we quote you a rate, that price is based upon the details you provide. If there are no changes to those details (such as weight, dimensions, required delivery date), you will be charged the rate we quoted. If any of the details change, we will re-quote the rate for your approval before we continue with the shipment.
What happens if I receive a bill directly from a carrier?
Simply call our customer service department at 1-888-805-7969
and we will take care of the issue. Our customer service staff
will be happy to take care of it and have the charges properly
directed.
Freight and Package will consult with you on a number
of ebay shipping tips:
Good ebay shipping starts with good packaging, which is essential to protect your goods while they are in transit. Remember that your packages may be on a truck with other items, and may be loaded or unloaded more than once. Certain basic guidelines are provided here to help you ensure that all of your possessions are packed to travel safely.
Use only sturdy cartons that can be completely closed. Whenever possible, use a new box. As a box is reused, it loses some of its strength and may not protect your ebay shipment as well as you'd like. When reusing a box, make sure it is rigid with no tears, holes or corner damage.
Make sure that all cartons are firmly packed, and not overloaded. Correctly packed cartons do not rattle or bulge.
Wrap individual items carefully in paper or cloth and be sure to provide sufficient cushioning, such as bubble wrap, Styrofoam "peanuts", crumpled Kraft or newspaper or corrugated liners or inserts to absorb shock.
Pack item in layers, with the heaviest things on the bottom and the lightest on the top.
Do not mix hard or heavy items with fragile items in the same container.
Seal all cartons tightly with packing tape. Do not use masking tape, cellophane tape, duct tape, string, or paper over-wrap.
Label each carton with the shipping & sending addresses:
Include the complete return address with full street address
and postal code. Always include the recipient's postal code
with the complete street address, remember to include the suite,
unit or apartment number, if applicable.
Include a contact name and telephone number for both the shipper and the receiver or consignee.
Place the shipping label on top of the package and to avoid confusion place only one address label on the package and remove or cross out old labels or markings on a used box.
It's a good idea to place a duplicate label inside your package.
Write the number of cartons that compose the shipment (Box 1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc).
